About All The Best Pet Care
In 1985, we began our business out of a concern for the health and well-being of our own animal companions. We believed something more was possible in the area of nutrition than what was available in commercial pet foods. Since that time we have discovered many products that have made an impact on pet health. Some of them are in
the form of supplements that provide "what’s missing" in processed pet
foods. Others are products for non-toxic flea control. Still others are homeopathic and
herbal remedies that are safe, effective, and drug-free. We are concerned with all aspects
of the human-animal connection, physical and spiritual, and are committed to expanding our
knowledge and expertise in this area for the benefit of our readers.

Tribute to Lucy 1984 - 1998

Lucy was our beautiful Akita female who passed away recently at the age of
fourteen years and eight months. An Akita’s lifespan is usually eight to twelve years, making Lucy a remarkably long-lived example. When she was finally put to rest due
to the feebleness of old age, she was free of cancer and other serious diseases.
Lucy taught us so much about the possibility for good
health in older dogs. Although very healthy most of her life, in her later years she was
our "test dog" for new remedies. When she developed a flea allergy at age ten
and needed cortisone to control the symptoms, we were able to eventually wean her off all
medications by using enzymes and other supplements. At age twelve, when her arthritis was
so severe she could barely get up, we experimented with raw foods, antioxidants, and
glucosamine supplements. Over a two-month period, she changed dramatically, going for long
walks and moving without stiffness or pain. We were able to share two more good years with her.
Lucy leaves behind our younger dogs, Beni and Cosa, her
great-granddaughter. We will never forget her gentleness and loving spirit, or the natural
pet care lessons she taught us.
